Bucas Freedom Turnout Light Blauw -

Descriere

The Bucas Freedom Turnout Light is a waterproof, breathable turnout rug with no fill (0 g). It works as a rain sheet: your horse stays dry in the field or paddock without any added warmth. It is meant for unclipped horses and for mild, wet days in spring, summer and autumn. Its main strength is the pairing of a light 600 denier Ripstop outer with a smooth Dermo-care lining, in a slim cut. About this turnout rug A rain sheet without fill has one job: keep out rain and wind, and leave the rest to the horse. The outer fabric is waterproof with a hydrostatic head of more than 5000 mm and breathable at more than 3000 g/24h/m², so moisture from the horse can escape. There is no insulating layer. A horse with a full winter coat is therefore less likely to get too warm under it. The outer is 600 denier Ripstop. Ripstop is a weave that makes tears less likely to start and stops a small tear from running further. Inside is the Bucas Dermo-care lining: a silky lining with wicking properties that keeps the coat smooth and soft. The honest key point of the whole Freedom line is the cut. This is the only Bucas turnout rug without shoulder darts; Bucas calls it a slim fit. Narrow horses and thoroughbred types simply take their normal size and get a rug that sits close and neat. Cob types, or horses with a long distance from the withers to the front of the chest, may find the fit a little tight. For those horses a Bucas Irish Turnout is the better place to look, as its shoulder darts give more room around chest and shoulder. At the front the rug closes with an overlap T-bar and a hook-and-loop strap. Underneath are cross surcingles, and at the back a tail flap and a fillet string that stops the rug blowing up over the back in wind. Attachment points for leg straps are provided. The cut is the Bucas Classic Cut. Within the Bucas range, the Freedom is the entry-level model: the same waterproofing and breathability as the other lines, but a lighter outer, a hook-and-loop closure instead of the magnetic Snap-lock, and no attachment points listed for a separate neck or liners. A turnout rug is not tied to any discipline. This one serves any horse that lives out, whatever you ride: dressage, showjumping, eventing or pleasure.
