The loss in height, up to ten centimeters, the curvature of the back as a result of the sagging of the vertebrae are specific symptoms of osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is asymptomatic for several years, hence the name silent condition.

Osteoporosis is manifested by an intense back pain, resulting from the collapse of the vertebrae, pain aggravated by lifting heavy objects. This usually disappears after a week.

When osteoporosis is advanced, fractures occur, which can occur with minimal trauma. The bones most likely to be affected by fractures are those of the wrist, hip and vertebrae. Moreover, the loss of bone mass is often detected only after a fracture that occurs after a fall.

Osteoporosis is a disease that incapacitates the patient, making it difficult for him to walk, to lift weights, to make a minimum effort.

Osteoporosis occurs when this balance is affected and the elimination of the old bone is faster than the replacement with the new one.
