Invaders & Raiders: Greeks

Descriere

The terrible Ancient Greeks are coming! Invaders and Raiders: Greeks describes how the Ancient Greeks set up a mighty empire from the viewpoint of a young Persian warrior. The hugely powerful Greek army, Greek daily life and customs are all explored against a backdrop of the famous battles of Marathon and Thermopylae. The book concludes with a look at Ancient Greece's expansion and eventual decline as the power of the Roman Empire grew. It also assesses Ancient Greece's legacy today. Illustrated with a mix of illustrations and found objects, each book describes a great civilisation, its customs and organisations, how it began and expanded, and finally how it ended.
