On both sides sits the 3D Kentucky logo, finely embroidered, which makes the pad recognisable without drawing attention away from your whole set. The outer is made in 100% polyester, a fabric that stays colourfast and copes with frequent washing. The cut follows the horse's topline. That is more than a detail: a pad that follows the back helps limit pressure points and stays in place better than a straight-cut one that pulls over the wither. On the inside there is a breathable cotton blend with a moisture-regulating effect. That lining dries quickly and keeps the back drier during longer sessions. Kentucky has deliberately kept the attachment side plain. There are no billet strap keepers, only a girth loop. That way the pad avoids the extra loops that stay visible at the front on many models and make the picture look busy. In practice that means a cleaner line, and at the same time that you attach the pad to the girth only. Care is simple: machine washable at 30°C, no tumble dryer, colourfast and shape-retaining.
