Marin Gherasim | Alexandru Davidian

Descriere

Alexandru Davidian A work of history, of art, and, ultimately, of friendship, this book introduces the steps of the oeuvre and life of a painter who took full advantage of the virtuous gift of patience and hope, of self-reflection and of reflecting on others, while seeking a way to resettle the inner self to find a spiritual ideal anew along a tortuous road whose apex rests with life’s essentialisation into sheer simplicity. Marin Gherasim’s patience is a leaf out of those monks’ sageness who understand and preach that anticipation-voided type of waiting, as well as the hope and love, assumed through a discreet strand of pedagogy, that are being shared in the feeling of togetherness. It is a virtue that has a multiplicity of siblings, capable of overcoming sorrow by opening up the gates of joy. This patience is an inheritance from his family, which the painter has managed to pass on against the noxious if aggressive contamination that desecrates human spirituality, often in the name of an atheistic type of humanism.
