MultiSure GK, blood glucose and ketone monitoring system

Descriere

The MultiSure GK device is a ready-made system for monitoring blood glucose and ketone concentrations. The medical device allows the measurement of two important parameters in diabetes monitoring and can be used with the MultiSure GK Ketone test masks. The Apex Bio MultiSure GK system is used to quantitatively measure the concentration of ketone bodies in the blood. The device is intended for both professional use and self-monitoring at home. What is the purpose of monitoring the concentration of ketone bodies in the blood? The main sources of energy in the human diet are carbohydrates (glucose), proteins and fats. Ketone bodies are formed in the liver during the burning of fat compounds, and the allowed rate of ketones in the body is low. The process of producing substances is controlled by hormones (glucagon, growth hormone) and insulin. When the body is working properly, fats are digested and a small part is converted into ketone compounds. The situation changes when insulin levels are low. The body has nothing to produce energy from and then uses spare fat, which can lead to an increased level of ketone bodies in the blood and then in the urine. Testing for the presence of ketone bodies is an important diagnostic tool in patients with type 1 diabetes. The presence of ketone bodies may indicate impending or developing ketoacidosis, which requires immediate medical intervention. MultiSure GK monitoring system - device features The MultiSure device is characterized by fast and easy-to-use operation, including a large, backlit display and a safe automatic tape ejection function. Convenient buttons located on the front of the camera allow simple, intuitive operation and quick selection of individual setting options. The glucometer is powered by two batteries, the power of which is sufficient to perform over 2,000 measurements . The Plug In function used in the device allows for immediate measurement after inserting the test strip into the device. Importantly, the MultiSure GK blood glucose and ketone body monitoring system does not require coding , and a small volume of blood sample is required to test for ketone body concentration (only 0.8 µl). However, the measurement time is only 5 seconds . The MultiSure GK glucose and ketone body monitor has a built-in memory of 100 measurement results with the date and time of recording, thanks to which it ensures the tracking of many previous results.
