What is new in the present edition is the chapter Peasant Recipes in the Clay Cookware. The chapter gives examples of traditional foods - recipes collected during the field research work - for which various types of clay vessels are used, showing the usefulness of pottery and the close relationship between the form and the purpose of the clay vessel. The book thus highlights the complexity of the functions of traditional pottery - utilitarian, decorative and magical-ritual. - Georgeta Rosu, Ion Blajan
