Experience the full scale and power of your favorite music without allowing the speakers to fill the entire space in your room - 5020 will place you right in the heart of the music! The 5000 Series from Q Acoustics is a range of stereo speakers that will reset your perceptions of how a speaker can look and sound. Embodying a genuine and significant advancement in driver design, C3 Continuous Curved Cone™ is a mid/bass driver that elevates the 5000 series beyond any nominal competitor. By incorporating the innovative cabinet technology first introduced in the company’s flagship Concept range, the 5000 series is as uncompromising inside as it is refined and contemporary outside. Sophisticated and contemporary design The reductive nature of the C3 Continuous Curved Cone™ appearance is reflected in the minimalist design with its refined lines leaning towards an elegant shape. The fronts are laminated with a layer of butyl rubber and black acrylic veneer, not only to provide a damping layer to suppress vibrations but also to offer an eye-catching accent. Mid/bass driver design At the core of the fundamental mid/bass driver design is the C3 Continuous Curved Cone™. The cone geometry requires good force for optimal performance. Significant magnets are paired with large voice coils to increase driver strength – resulting in a 50% increase in power and control compared to a comparable driver with a 25.4 mm voice coil. The result is an improvement in the speaker’s dynamic range, especially in the bass region. Tweeter design The tweeter is hermetically sealed and mechanically isolated from the baffle to prevent internal pressure modulations from inside the cabinet and the adjacent driver. The internal chamber is also carefully ventilated for lower distortion.
