n nSpelling Toolbox 3 provides a strategy-based approach to spelling. It begins with an introductory lesson that describes the spelling tools, and 20 thematically organized units on the topics of home, community, work, health, and writing. In each unit, the student learns to spell 9 words by using phonics, syllabication, word patterns, and/or a spelling rule. Dictations and an application activity are provided so the student can try out the spelling strategies he/she has learned. This publication is more difficult than The Spelling Toolbox 1 and 2 because the words are multi-syllabic.n
